Guardians of the Galaxy Set for Avengers: Infinity War
Straight from the mouth of Groot voice actor, Vin Diesel, the Guardians of the Galaxy are going to appear in the next planned Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War. Disel revealed the news during a live Facebook video session earlier today. You can check out that video at the above link.
Speaking on the subject, Diesel stated, “The Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War, and that’s incredibly exciting.” While there has been talk and rumors for months about having the two teams meet in future films, this is the first instance of an actor claiming it will happen in Infinity War, which is due out in 2018. It will be interesting to see if what Diesel said here pans out, or if he might’ve revealed some information earlier than he should have without getting clearance from Marvel Studios.
Not many other details are known about Infinity War, other than it’s expected to feature the Avengers being set against the evil Thanos, who first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for 2012’s The Avengers. Meanwhile, Diesel reprises his role as Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, due out next year. The film is going to introduce Kurt Russell as Ego, the father of Star-Lord, and also Pom Klementieff as a new member to the team, Mantis.
Avengers: Infinity War is due out on May 4, 2018. The next Avengers movie, which is still currently untitled, is due out on May 3, 2019. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters next year on May 5, 2017.
