Good Knight Announced For Steam
Doublethink Games has announced their bullet hell game, Good Knight, will be released this fall on Steam.
The concept behind Good Knight is simple: just survive. The controls are also simplistic, reduced to just one button, but this one button allows you to perform turn around, attack, speed-down and sustained attacks. The challenge presented, though, is anything but easy.
You’ll be facing screen-filling waves of fireballs, projectiles and other harmful things that kill you in one touch. Skillful deployment of the few options you have and finding ways to squeeze through the patterns will keep the knight alive. Fortunately, this one has unlimited continues, so when you inevitably die, you won’t have to start over.
Hardcore and casual modes are mentioned in the trailer, but it’s unclear how the game is made easier in the latter mode (all footage has to be from the harder one, right?) There’s also a Create Your Own Stage Mode if not even the toughest stages are tough enough for you.
The exact day of release for Good Knight hasn’t been revealed, but keep an eye on its Steam page for when it goes live.
Good Knight is a butt-clenching arcade metal game influenced by games like Super-Hexagon, Castlevania, and Touhou. In Good Knight, you only need one button because you only have one job: survive from the bullet hell! With this magical button, you are able to perform turn around, attack, speed-down, sustained attacks.
