Ghost Remake! Channing Tatum owns the rights to remake the 1990s classic
Ghost is named as one of greatest romance films of all time. This movie made huge stars out of Patrick Swayze,Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. Especially to Miss Goldberg because it won her an Academy award for best supporting actress. It gave her the O in her EGOT which is an achievement any multimedia Hollywood Star want to achieve. For a $22 million budget film, Ghost made $505.7 million. It is such a pop culture phenomenon back in the 90s because it made a 1955 song, Unchained Melody chart in the billboard.
Even in the modern days, You can still see some reference about this movie, especially the infamously sexy pottery scene. It is a classic and if you found it available in your streaming services, watch it because it will change your life. It is one of the few films where Ghosts are portrayed as not something we should be afraid of.

The plot is centered around a man named Sam Wheat, whos is portrayed by Patrick Swayze. He is a successful banker who have a loving and healthy relationship with his girlfriend Molly Jensen. Their life is perfect and they are starting over in a beautiful Manhattan apartment. In a theater date with Molly, A mugger stole his wallet and he tried to catch him but it leads to him getting killed.
He saw his dead body because he became a ghost. He will discover his coworker and friend Carl,is behind his death. To make it worst, His friend his pursuing Molly. Sam will then encounter the con artist Oda Mae Brown, Who is played by Whoopi Goldberg. Oda Mae is a fake psychic but for some reason, she can see Sam. He will ask for her help so he can save the crime that cause him his life and also to protect the life of the woman he loves.
Now Ghost is about to have a remake because according to an interview to Channing Tatum, He now have the rights to produce an American Remake of the film. Whether he will star on it or not yet to be declared. This is not the first time this classic got a remake. There is an Indian remake back in 1995, A gender swapped Japanese remake in 2010 and a Broadway Musical in 2011.
