Game of Thrones: Season 7 Premiere Date
The wait for new Game of Thrones is counting down. This week, HBO revealed the return date for the highly anticipated seventh season for the hit fantasy drama. You can also check out an early teaser video released by HBO in the player below.
The teaser and tweet confirms that the show will return on July 16. Sort of appropriate that it’s the seventh season, and it comes back in the seventh month of the year. That’s a bit longer of a wait for fans than what typically happens for the series. Usually, it premieres in May.
The new teaser doesn’t reveal any actual footage. It features a look at the sigils of the various feuding houses of the series that are crumbling. It seems to focus on the real impending conflict that has been building up since the start of the series. The teaser builds to Jon Snow talking about the war that the White Walkers seem to be bringing toward Westeros. Could the houses that have constantly been at war with each other really put their differences aside to face a common enemy? It should be an interesting season.
Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres on HBO on July 16. Fans can watch the first six seasons on demand or through HBO Go, or they can check it out on Blu-ray.
