Free League Publishing Comes To Gen Con 2018
It may be hard to think about in the middle of all this Comic-Con hype, but there are other big geeky conventions on the horizon. One such con is Gen Con, a four-day convention in Indianapolis dedicated to tabletop games and the enthusiasts that enjoy them. Free League Publishing announced today they would have a booth at Gen Con this year, and here’s what you’ll be able to preview in it…
TALES FROM THE LOOP
Free League’s award-winning game based around the art of Simon Stålenhag is so huge that Amazon just threw down a ton of cash to adapt it into a TV series. Now find out for yourself what the fuss is about.
CRUSADER KINGS
Free League’s first board game (the others are tabletop by definition), Crusader Kings is described as a “medieval fantasy soap opera” where each player must use deep strategy to ascend the royal ranks and scheme their way into power. This game hasn’t been released yet and Gen Con attendees will be the first to publicly play it.
FORBIDDEN LANDS – ROUGES AND RAIDERS IN A CURSED WORLD
To be released later this year, Forbidden Lands also contains artwork by Simon Stålenhag, plus the storyline is written by fantasy author Erik Granström.
CORIOLIS – THE THIRD HORIZON
A sci-fi tabletop adventure where you command a space ship and travel the region of space known as the Third Horizon.
MUTANT: YEAR ZERO
Explore a post-apocalyptic Earth as mutants seeking paradise.
These games, as well as all Free League’s other products, will be free to try and await you at Gen Con during the 2nd through the 5th of August. Mark your calendars!
