As you know, Warner Bros. has finally bowed to demand and agreed to put the Snyder Cut of Justice League into production. It’s an undertaking of great expense, with some estimates putting the re-edit at $60 million — and it may be released in pieces as a result. WB hasn’t decided exactly how they’re going to roll out this version of the film but they do know it’s premiering on their new streaming service HBO Max.
It’s not as simple as firing up the Moviola. Special effects have to be redone, CGI backgrounds have to be re-rendered, and in some cases the original actors have to be brought back in to film additional scenes. Those guys don’t work cheap!
