Youtube Video Costs Uploader 20 Years In Jail

So, basically a guy sang a song in front of a bunch of kids, edited the video to make it more "sexually explict" for "teh lulz" and is now facing 20 years of jail time because the parents of said chilren believe that he "sexually abused" them and is therefore a "pedophile" :nono:

I saw that on HLN a few days ago.I agree what he did was in very poor taste,but jail time might be a bit harsh.That`s not to say he shouldn`t face some form of punishment however,it just doesn`t need to be extreme
What is really sad is that he`ll probably be locked up for years just for some stupid prank such as that while scumbags who actually commit sexual acts against kids get out after six months

Yes, I agree, this is way too extreme. They must not have a lot going on in that city if this what they are willing to do... And the chains were also completely unnecessary. He's just a video editor, he's not going to bite your ear off or something if you give him room to breathe.

This isn't news... No it shouldn't be news since it is going to taint the fucking hearings. Yeah the guy is fucking idiot and should be punched really fucking hard, but he shouldn't have to face jail. The problem is the prosecutors are building up this joke of a case just so they can look good for cameras which are only there because parents have been made to scared shitless of sexual predators. And they are scared shitless of sexual predators because the news programs constantly play up the danger for cheap ratings. And they are able to get cheap ratings since we have asshole prosecutors playing up these cases in order to look good. It is one giant circle-jerk of manufactured fear! The worse part is without all this fucking media circus the judge would at most levy a fine and order him to preform community service (away from children). But no, most judges are probably too afraid of a backlash of being seen as soft on "sexual predators".

This wouldn't even be an issue if people would just stop putting up this crap in a desperate grab at internet fame.
