Why doesn't Funimation dub Kamen Rider/SS

So recently I saw the Funimation releases of DROP and GOEMON and i was BLOWN AWAY! Normally when someone tells me to watch a japanese movie dubbed I always think of the godzilla dubs and the like, but these were outstanding!! and then i had an idea.

Funimation could totally dub Toku series. I mean they're great at it, and i don't think it would be too much of a stretch for anime VAs to do it . Not to mention Funimations roster of talent is at an all time high. I don't know about you guys but I think that could be an awesome way to get legitimate licensed copies of toku over here.

Sentai is owned by Saban while Kamen Rider might be as well, adapted as Power Rangers yearly and ____Rider possibly in the future?

If Saban were to allow Funimation to release them , it would be as
1. The Zyu-Kaku trilogy after they released MMPR.
2. Black/RX.
3. Subbed option with dub.
4. Why no B-Fighter duo, Metalder, Shaider, and Spielvan as well?

I wouldn't expect anything else really prior unless there was a demand from the Gokai adapt, but expect those to be the first released.

I believe if these were dubbed/subbed releases they'd generate a ton of interest into Toku and how different it was compared to the shows in their childhood. Look at all the nostalgia for Voltron.

They still need a high budget remake of MMPR for the silver screen to set the 90's nostalgia off.

1. Too much violent content for the U.S market to mix up with the established adaptation. We don't need complaints if kids see Prince Dex stabbing monsters to death. Same goes for marketing any unadapted series.
2. Dubbed/subbed live action toku rarely does well in the U.S market, hence why Ultraman isn't big now and why we got MMPR instead of dubbed Bioman or Shinkenger. Power Rangers is Toei's main and only toku export for that reason.

1. MMPR is old. Do you think people other than the hardcore audience would care about the Japanese versions of the shows? Golion and Dairugger were hanging on the shelves for long periods of time while I had to buy "The First" from the site. Just put the label on there "Uncut and Uncensored" like they do with anime and seeing actors who look NOTHING like ours, they'll just put it down and walk away. If they pick it up , it's their problem. Or are people too socialist to think?

2. Anime doesn't do well either in America going by this same logic, and they have many releases online and on the shelves. So if it's targeted towards the fans and older viewers, why worry? The main reason why Ultraman is big now is because there are NO SERIES released here in the present. Can't judge how something can fail if it hasn't been tried and promoted in the market can you? I agree TIGA flunked, but that one was shafted by the beginning like KRDK. If they can promote **** and make it buyable, so you can with anything.

Exactly, there isn't many who would eagerly watch this stuff which may explain why any legit toku here are at bargin bins, we're not that profitable. And yes, complaints are very possible with sucn an association, it's why Saban's Masked Rider was so dumbed down.

Also, anime is more adaptable to dubbing, hence Funimation's existance. Can't say as much for live-action tv or movies which agains explains why PR is here instead of a straight dub like in other parts of the world. Ultraman has had many chances to catch on prior to Tiga but just didn't. KRDK by itself didn't catch on with its audience very much and catered more to HJU fandom then it did to the average child. You can't constantly promote something if the audience isn't interested, the bit of plastic BOA wasted that year is still available in the clearance section.

I honestly believe that if Saban (or hell...even Toei themselves) streamed kamen rider or sentai subbed...they would get views.
That is how most anime is viewed these days, so I think toku could do well like that.

I would honestly like to hear how they would dub the opening/ending and battle themes. Fourze and Den-O could work out great with funimation, Go-Onger aswell. I'm not excluding the others, it's just that these stick out to me when I think of some series that feel like animes already.

Why would you want funimation dubbing sentai anyways? Saban build Power Rangers from the bottom up. It's an american pop culture, to be dubbing it wouldn't make any sense at this point, and dubbing Kamen Rider would be to weird for the american audience! Hence Ultraman Tiga!

Why not do limited runs of the core series important to the fanbase like the three Sentai made into MMPR and start from there? If you know you are only going to make a certain amount, why not have subbed sets like this?

If they were dubbed , what would justify the work? Would it be for an online viewing or perhaps television? I'm not sure it would be worth it for FUNI to put all their efforts in dubbing a Sentai or Rider series for the internet unless we are talking about throwing it on Hulu and Netflix and other profiteering formats.

!.Voltron's fanbase is like ours. Small , yet kicking. If they can get their component series of Golion and Dairugger XV to be released....let me punch myself in the face for this. WEP bought the rights to their source series directly. But as it goes, they partnered with Media Blasters and released them in limited releases.

LEt's not forget OOO, Faiz (Which is Guyver pretty much), Hibiki ,Shinkenger and Ryuki.

They redubbed Dragonball Z and it was popular culture at that point so why not dub Sentai or the Riders. Tiga only failed because it was going to fail because of 4Kids.
