We also discuss how Kaito is actually making this show about “Warring States,†how much of a chump Kouta is, Mitch’s dark undertones and Mai’s jealousy and dislike of Kouta butting back into the dance gang scene.

The unKamenCrew tackles the Super Hero Wars sequel. Long story short: the power couple didn’t really like it at all (not even their first watch through) while the other three soured on it more during the second viewing. Pez especially irritated with NOT-Shadowmoon being beaten by the Sambasaur Rangers. If nothing else, it was mostly better than SHT and fun enough to rip on.

Spoliers: The Space Spiderman (and Ikadevil) redesign is possibly the best thing in this movie.

So this may be the worst episode EVER for Kamen Rider Gaim. We more or less conclude that but take an interesting road to get there. Along the way GomessQ and IllusClaire give Pez a hard time about not knowing the words to a Queen song while Grimmhelm stays silent on the subject and Mewzard possibly misrepresents his knowledge of their vaunted catalogue. We also touch on offensive stereotypes, which is probably something to expect in the next Gaim episode.

In a shocking turn of events, the Pierre Alfonso Oren character isn’t a huge blatantly offensive smear against anyone in the LGBT community… I think. This particular CIS trio wasn’t anyway. Let’s us know if we’re nuts (pun really not intended). A lot more than potential queer bashing happens in this episode, Kaito’s Alliance falls apart, the Nutty Duo strike out on their own and a real live adult who has been to war steps into this so-called game and shakes things up, he may even get a little meta about the show in his soliloquy. This could be very good if Urobuchi keeps it up.

So, after a long break from Quarterly episodes, the unKamenCrew is back to go in depth on discussions of Medallic monsters, formerly wandering heroes, and happy birthdays. As with W, Pez is new to the show so, you get to laugh at his ignorance of future events or be thrilled and delighted by the prescience of the perceptions he draws from Kobayashi’s writing. Grimmhelm and Mewzard lovingly sigh over the glory that they now to be OOO and share some deeper insights based on their foreknowledge. One last thing, Pez says Ankh is a huge jerk.
