I'm sure this is fine...

This week: beginning the episode by declaring it to be the final battle when we know there's two more episodes after this means things won't go to plan, Don Armage's goal is basically the same as that of every Final Fantasy villain, Lucky is temporarily sent into what I'm dubbing the "padding universe", Kuervo bites the dust, then funnily enough it doesn't go to plan and the Commander pays the price.

Wow, what a fucking selfish brat Lucky was this episode! If he actually abided by Kiryu's wishes, Armage would have been dead and the universe would have been saved.

This whole episode was built around plot conveniences and stupidity. If he is going to die anyway from the Phoenix being out of a power, why would Armage even want him when the whole purpose for taking his body is pointless?

Because Armage's info is out of date. Nobody's told the villains the Phoenix Kyutama's running out of juice. All he has are Kuervo's memories of Tsurugi claiming to be immortal because of it.
