This is something I've been working on for quite a while, probably since the first saga (episodes 1-11) ended. Here's a rundown so you can decide now if you wanna turn back.
This is the story of the show told from the perspective of a regular Beat Rider team with no Rider, Tru Heart. The first saga is largely focused on the Inves Games and the small-time goals of being the best ranked team. Jonouchi (Gridon) becomes a reoccurring antagonist for Tru Heart, along with regular appearances from Sonomura (Red Hot leader / AU Bravo).
On the Yggdrasill side, two more Riders are part of their roster; A European style knight, Haku, and a Chinese style Mongolian warrior, Shinra. Haku is the star of this side of the story as he overcomes his waning confidence so he doesn't get left behind in Project Genesis.
My goal with this at the beginning was to flesh out the Inves Games a bit more, add more Lockseeds that have lower Classes (the show's 00-13 are largely Class A due to the Riders using them), and of course, add identities to many of the minor teams.
Oh, also there is a "movie" here. In place of Movie Wars I decided to try a multi-part storyline which is in continuity. It premieres form changes for all of the minor Riders, as well as a new permanent addition to the roster.

Tru Heart:

Jiro Kazama: He's the leader of Team Tru Heart. He lives with his older brother Yori and has good intentions, but can sometimes be too hardheaded and heroic. He's jobless but his brother supports them well enough in their apartment. His hair has been dyed blonde.
Rei Asutori: She's the second-in-command of Tru Heart and considerably the best dancer. She's Jiro's childhood friend who has sporadic psychic visions, amplified by the fearsome power of the Lockseeds. She occasionally puts them to good use. She lives with her grandmother who is unaware of her involvement in the Inves Games.
Doki / Kiba Dozumaki: The first person to join Tru Heart, he's also the youngest. He likes his friends to call him Doki and is sometimes rash with the intent to prove his worth. He is possibly the most strategic one of the group. He lives with his parents, naturally, and is only out of school temporarily. He added a purple dye streak in his hair as part of the team.

Yggdrasill staff:

Yori Kazama: The older brother of Jiro. The two were close as children, and their friendship led them to living together after moving out of their parents' place. While Jiro doesn't pay enough attention to what Yori does for work, he actually works at the Yggdrasill Corporation in the R&D department, under the guidance of Takatora Kureshima. He fights for Yggdrasill as Armored Rider Haku.
Sanji Yoshimoto: One of the chairmen at the Yggdrasill Corporation. During his free time he's chosen to take part in Professor Ryoma's project. He's an intimidating man within the company, combined with his iconic rasp and scar above his right eye. He has a history as a fighter and is known to have violent tendencies on the battlefield. He fights for Yggdrasill as Armored Rider Shinra. Based on the looks of the actor for Gaoh from Kamen Rider Den-O.
Lock Dealer Rook: The Lock Dealer in Tru Heart's area. As of chapter 6 in the Beat Riders saga, he would be seen around a cafe near Charmant called La Conseil. Much like Sid, I named him after the first half of Lockseed, although the connection to the word is looser. He dresses like a classy businessman and acts in a monotonous way with brief expressions of emotion. Typically only speaks when spoken to. Slightly eerie but you get used to him. He was once depicted with a fedora but that's since been changed. Based on the looks of the actor for Isaka from Kamen Rider W.
