Harmony Gold (owners of the Robotech license) is now suing Hasbro under the claim that Hasbro's SDCC Exclusive uses their Veritech design.

Harmony Gold, the main distributor of Robotech, have filed against Hasbro claiming that the 2013 SDCC GI Joe vs. Transformers exclusive set violates their intellectual property. Or more specifically, the Skystriker decoed as the G1 Jetfire toy. Since that original Jetfire toy lifted its color scheme directly from the Macross toy from which it was licensed 30 years ago, Harmony Gold believe this new toy is too close to their property.

I hope Hasbro won't let that bullshit through. It's a paint scheme on a Hasbro original jet design. What? Harmony Gold owns the color red and white when put on a friggin' jet??

This morning I managed to snag a Shockwave's Lab set off HasbroToyshop.com. Man shipping to Canada is outrageous, with shipping, handling and taxes the whole shebang ended up costing TWICE what the toy itself cost ><

But I never owned a SDCC exclusive, or BH Shockwave.
