Linkara's History of Power Rangers Series

So for those who haven't been following him, Linkara of Atop the Fourth Wall fame, happens to be a fan of Power Rangers (his "reviewing persona/alter ego" has the Dragon Dagger as part of his arsenal) though he hasn't really kept up with the series.

For one of his previous "big" reviews (which also constituted as the second part of a "finale" for a "story arc" of his show), he examined "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1" (<http://at4w.blip.tv/file/3219240/>) and threw out a number of references such as using a Power Morpher, defeating the villain with a big explosive finisher, and playing Ron Wasserman songs in the background.

He'd later make a bonus/sequel review of "Power Rangers Zeo #1" (<http://at4w.blip.tv/file/4641981/>) with even more references, such as the use of Zeo and In Space gear, and even a giant robot fight, and he also examines a so-called parody comic, "Mightily Murdered Power Ringers" (<http://at4w.blip.tv/file/5470246>)...yeah, it's about as bad as it sounds. I suspect he'll continue looking at a number of Power Ranger-related comics as the show goes on.

During the process of filming the first one, he really got interested in the show again, and as per his reviewing nature, decided to watch "all 700 episodes" (including Turbo the Movie, as it was plot relevant) and make a series seriously analyzing, commenting, and making humorous notes about the show as he continued his marathon.

Currently Linkara's up to "Dinothunder," and you can see his occasional comments of his progress on twitter.

For now, here is the series thus far (Pardon the use of "{}"s, otherwise it will attempt to embed them all at once.):

Here's the commentary for the MMPR #1 review above {http://at4w.blip.tv/file/3236322/}.

And if that isn't a enough to show he's a fan there's also his Dragon Dagger Tutorial {http://at4w.blip.tv/file/3009308/}. He also just recently purchased a MMPR Green Ranger costume (And prop versions of a morpher, a communicator, and the Sword of Darkness, and another Dragon Dagger). Here's the corresponding VLog with him trying it out: {http://at4w.blip.tv/file/4357667} and more pictures to go along with it.

Enjoy!

Bonus: Linkara also made an appearance at Power Morphicon 2 (he planned to do some "MST-ing" of various episodes), and even made an ad for it {http://at4w.blip.tv/file/3976389/}. Sadly things were rushed and the footage didn't record very well, so it has been dropped from being properly released (you can likely still find a recording on Youtube, nonetheless). However, he did get some recordings of some of the panels and an interview with Ron Wasserman while he was there.

Linkara is usually bang on and i rarely disagree with him, and this is no exception.

I wonder if he look here for info since he said he browsed various forums.

I know he belongs to Rangerboard; I don't think he would've noticed this place since he states that the reviews are not about the Sentai originals.

Regardless, this is very impressive. Cant' wait to see what his takes on the other series' are.

Yeah, i've seen him on RB.

anyway, good recap on Season 2.
I agree with him on Bulk and Skull, they slowly evolved from 2-dimensional bullies into actual characters with dimension and depth.

Depth isn't a word i'd use very often for Power Rangers, but in this case I agree.

Hence, they lasted as long as Tommy and Adam.:buttrock:

...and crashed the Megazord.:sly:
