The PC Gaming Show was streamed live early this morning, and the biggest announcement of the day was the surprise release of Persona 4 Golden on PC. Yes, it’s an older game, but it’s an excellent one and it’s become hard to find.
The original Persona 4 was released on Playstation 2 in 2008. You live in the remote Japanese town of Inaba, building relationships with the citizenry by day and battling monsters in dungeons by night. Just like Junes, everything’s great in it, and the title was only outdone by Persona 5.
A few years after the initial release, an enhanced version of the game, Persona 4 Golden, was put out in 2012 exclusively for the PS Vita handheld. It adds additional characters, features and storylines and is considered the definitive version of Persona 4. And until today, the Vita was the only place you could play it. Though that machine has a devoted cult fanbase to this day, most people don’t cart a Vita around.
