In a sudden, but very on-brand move for The CW, its newest super-series Superman And Lois has been
given a second season and a place on the 2021-22 schedule. Given the network’s track record, the renewal was never really in question, but the show’s performance in ratings likely motivated the early decision. Last Tuesday, with the 90-minute premiere and the behind-the-scenes doc that followed it, The CW achieved its highest ratings it had seen in two years. (We figure without those numbers, it might have taken another full week for the show to be renewed.)
