As I understand it, weren't they fighting "Neo-Messiah", not their own villains? )

Not sure how much I can say without needing spoiler tags, but you're right (that also kind of irked me, Messiah isn't a villain I'd have thrown away on the next-team-preview).

What I mean about not having high hopes for the series is that they seemed to be almost Car Ranger-ish in their cartoony comedy. Lots of slapstick, a pratfall or two, and conga line like "train dance" as part of the roll call. I know crossover movie first impressions are rarely reflective of the actual characters because they are typically filmed early in the process before the actors, suit actors, and writers get a full grip on them. However, it was not a good sign.

Well, I'm looking at the villains now and, so far, they all look amazing.

Although, is anyone else seeing the love-child of Miley Cyrus & Lady Gaga with Madame Noir? Maybe, the "Good Villains" thing recently is them starting with initial stereotypes & building characters off of that, among other things?
