Here is a review on my fave game EVER! Star Wars Battlefront. Available on PS2, XBOX and PC.
Story - 0/10
What story? XD You basically have three modes to choose. Historical Campaign where you can fight through the Clone Wars or the Galactic Civil War, Galatic Conquest where you fight to conquer planets and Instant Action.
Graphics - 9/10
Superb graphics! Top notch of what the PS2 is capable of! It would've been a 10 if the PS2's graphics were like the XBOX's graphics...
But still, really sweet.
Sounds - 9/10
Blaster effects taken from the movies! Different style of sounds for different blasters. You can hear Wookies roaring, the Droids "Roger Roger!" and Clones/Storm Troopers/Rebels yelling to each other! They even tell you when a Grenade has been lanched at your position!
Gameplay - 10/10
Excellent! There are several command posts where you can capture them by standing by them and filling up a capture bar. You have to seize, defend and steal em. What's the point of command posts? You can choose to re-spawn at any of your ones as any troop style in your squadron, some hold ships/vehicles and all own the Gonk and Nurse droids. The Gonk droid replenishes your ammo and the Nurse droid replenishes your health. The aim is to capture all command posts which triggers a 20 second count-down to win, or to wipe out all the enemies troops!
Replay - 1,000,000/10 XD
Since you can't really COMPLETE this game, you can play it FOREVER and not get bored of it! XD It's great!
Multiplayer - 10/10
You can choose to go co-operative to fight against the enemie or one on one as you fight alongside your troops against your opponent and their troops.
Overall - 10/10
MUST HAVE for Star Wars fans! There are planetary bonuses to activate such as getting a Jedi Hero on your side to fight. Lacks space battles but Battlefront 2 shows promises of that AND playable Jedi. Battlefront covers episodes I, II, IV, V and VI whilst BF2 covers all 6 chapters. BUY. PLAY. ENJOY.
