Sony And Netflix Enter Exclusive Streaming Deal

These days, it seems like every major movie studio has their own separate streaming service…but there is one exception. Sony Pictures has yet to even announce such a thing — which is weird, given their tendency to shamelessly chase trends. Not only that, they appear to have no interest in doing so, and today’s newly announced deal with Netflix seems to confirm that.
Under the five-year deal, Sony movies released in theaters will stream exclusively on Netflix for the next few months afterward. This includes the in-development sequels to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and Venom, all future Jumanji and Bad Boys movies, two things we’ve never heard of called Bullet Train and Where The Crawdads Sing, and Morbius, which is due out next January. Sony is also working on a movie based off the Playstation’s Uncharted series, which is pegged for a February 18, 2022 release.
