To the delight of many Skullgirls fans that have yearned for a PC release, the game's developer announced that it Skullgirls will see a PC release this Summer. The recent fighter which is composed of an all-female roster, which surprisingly enough is very balanced, and easy-to-control, will be gracing the PC sometime this Summer for $15. Alongside this announcement, the developers also voiced their plans for the future of the ambitious fighter.

On the game's official twitter page, they announced that the game will not support GFWL which will allow them to hopefully implement PS3-PC Cross Play soon after the PC version's launch, thus allowing PC and PS3 users to face off against one another.

As you may already know, this is not the first time PS3 and PC users have been treated with cross-platform multiplayer, just last year, Valve implemented Steamworks into the PS3 version of Portal 2 which allowed both audiences to team up in cooperative play. With developers seemingly embracing the idea of uniting the PS3 and PC multiplayer communities, it would seem that this is becoming the norm. Having said that, I do have to wonder what exactly prevented Tribes: Ascend from becoming a PSN title.
