They need to see how The Last of Us is adapted into a movie and see it as a standard. The past Silent Hill movies are better than those Resident evil movies but those adaptation still didn't respect the source material. Hire fans as part of the writing team.

The Last of Us has set a benchmark for other movies and adaptations, but I don't think many others will be able to do it justice. However, if they do, we can expect it to be a blockbuster.

Employing enthusiasts as members of the writing crew might inject some level of fervor into the process of adapting a work, but it does not ensure their competence or proficiency in producing a skillfully crafted film. Additionally, evaluating an adaptation solely based on its adherence to the source material is restrictive and fails to acknowledge the artistic decisions and artistic freedom that are often essential in transforming a narrative from one medium to another.
