Netflix has had a lot of projects in the fire lately, but this is the big one — their most ambitious offering of 2023, premiering nine days before the end of the year itself. It’s ridiculously expensive, carrying a price tag of $166 million for the production of two films (this is just Part One). We may be nearing the end of the age when streamers will spend Infinity Dollars on one project, but Rebel Moon is quite a loud way to go out. However, will it be good?

This trailer is so intriguing it entails such a dope storyline and is so action-packed. "Who among you is ready to die for what you believe", really touched me. Not so many people are willing to.
This seems worth the wait. I'm sure it's already available in some countries.

So, Snyder pitched this to Lucasfilm as a Star Wars project, got rejected, and decided to make it anyway. Not sure if that's a sign of determination or stubbornness. Wendy Ide hit the nail on the head—impressive visuals, decent fight scenes, but the story? A derivative mess. I'm not buying into this chop-shopped jalopy. Next!

I have to give credit where it's due—Snyder nails it when it comes to visuals. The environments, creatures, and costumes are downright mesmerizing. It's like a feast for the eyes. Sure, the story might be a bit wonky, but can we appreciate the artistry here? It's a visual masterpiece, even if the plot stumbles. The man knows how to create visually stunning worlds. Yeah, the story might be a bit all over the place, but who's watching a Snyder film for the intricate plot? It's about the experience, the spectacle. I'm still on Team Snyder; he's got his own unique flair, and I'm here for it.

Despite its flaws, I can't help but feel connected to these characters. Kora's journey and the assembly of this ragtag team had potential. Yeah, maybe it's a Seven Samurai rip-off, but the characters have depth. Give it time; the emotional resonance might just grow in the next installment. Fingers crossed for character development!
