Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Retro Forge Games are now working on Souldiers, a 16-bit styled adventure platformer game. They just premiered a new trailer for the game at this year’s MIX Next event, so let’s take a look at it. This latest trailer is gameplay-focused and reveals a lot of the smooth moves each controllable class will have.
Souldiers is a platformer with metroidvania exploration and challenging combat. On the border between life and death sits the mystical realm of Terragaya, where you must choose between the classes of Scout, Caster or Archer. Fight for your freedom, slashing gigantic monsters and solving tricky puzzles. As you explore, you’ll gather the materials and experience to upgrade your character, making them more powerful.
