As Crunchyroll continues to draw in the Funimation library, the arrival of beloved classics occurs now on a weekly basis, and it’s not over yet. September will see over 15 anime features added to the service, several of them long-awaited. While this is going on, Crunchyroll will also be adding brand-new movies — at least one per week, they tell us. It adds up to a packed schedule, reproduced below.
Highlights include The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Mamoru Hosoda’s stoy of a high-school student who, for some reason, can skip backward to an earlier point in time by simply taking blind leaps through the air. Afro Samurai Resurrection, starring Samuel L. Jackson, premieres as soon as tomorrow. And you get Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the prequel film to the hit anime series that played in US theaters last March. Plus Sword of the Stranger, Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic and more!
Movies that have been added to Crunchyroll just this past month include Akira, Your Name, Wolf Children, The Boy...
