A small LA-based animation studio called Hazimation will be releasing their creation Max Beyond on digital platforms this spring. Hazimation may not have the budget or resources for a full-fledged theatrical debut, but they are willing to explore a genre most mainstream animated films don’t: the sci-fi thriller.

Hey, this sounds like an exciting blend of sci-fi and animation! I'm always up for innovative storytelling, especially when it comes to exploring themes like alternate dimensions and sibling bonds. Can't wait to see how Max's journey unfolds and whether he and Leon can outsmart their captors. Plus, the prospect of a video game adaptation? Count me in for that immersive experience!

Hmm, while I appreciate the effort of smaller studios to break into new genres, I can't help but wonder if Max Beyond will offer anything truly groundbreaking. The premise feels a bit derivative, and we've seen plenty of stories about characters with extraordinary abilities being held captive before. Still, I'm willing to give it a chance if it brings some fresh perspective to the table. Let's hope it surprises us.
