NOTE: The name was merely chosen as I didn't wanna appear too self-centered and have it named after my own Rider character... and I couldn't really think of anything else in this regard. Any suggestions are welcome.
This opening post is more or less a copypaste of what I did on another board.

Saurs. Thousands of years ago, they roamed this planet, alongside humanity. However, one day, they simply disappeared without explanation and no record of them survived over the millenia that followed.
Until now.
A mysterious meteorite crashed near one of the largest cities of the planet -- a loud, ear-shattering boom announced it's arrival, waking the people in every corner of the city.
A military-investigation-party was assembled the next day, as this was the largest meteorite to ever have survived impacting on the surface.
In order to investigate it more thoroughly, they decided to drill it open.
On the inside, one unbelievable find was made: thousands of capsules, which appeared to be stasis-pods.
And they were opening.
One after another, various creatures stepped out of the various capsules -- they appeared lizard-like, but they had various other attributes. Some had bat-wings, others had spider-legs, and again, others weren't even remotely like anything seen on the planet before.
The investigation-party suddenly froze as they heard thousands of hushed voices run through their heads, from seemingly within themselves.
The slurred, croaking noises were soon replaced by English-language words. They ranged from "We're going to take this planet back now" to a simple "die."
The unarmed scientists of the party fled in fear and terror, taking what little they could from the meteorite with them, but for some, the impulse to flee came to lead, as they were killed by the alien-looking creatures. The soldiers were not much better off, being mercilessly slaughtered.
Two of the scientists survived the attack rather miraculously, however, one of them went under shock.
The other, Professor Paul Mansfelder, took what data he could to reverse-engineer some of their technology and combine his knowledge of it with some military-plans for a battle-armor worn by a single soldier. He put plans together to modify these in order to combat what the public media had now dubbed "Saurs."
Several weeks went into the development of project "KR-TY," while, in the meantime, a hopeless battle against the Saurs was undertaken at the edges of major cities.
The new gear was made to be portable by way of a belt. It was designed to create a battle-armor around the soldier once a needle from a wristwatch was placed inside the center of the belt's emblem.
The test phase for the gear was interrupted by an attack in the center of a city. One of the bat-like Saurs began a rampage throughout town, slicing entire buildings open.
The team went to the attack-site to do a direct field-test of the gear, not wanting to loose any more people to these creatures.
However, before the soldier could even take on the belt, the bat started shooting thunderbolts from it's wings, causing a huge explosion, knocking the belt out of his hand as it killed him.
At the same time, a young man Michael Braga was holding onto a window frame from one of the buildings damaged by the Bat-Saur. However, he lost his grip and fell down, right in the way of the belt.
He barely survived the fall, and found it difficult to get on his feet. Prof. Mansfelder, however, saw their only chance, by taking the wristwatch from the dead soldier and using it as he intended on the belt on Michael's waist.
In a bright flash of light, the body of the young man was engulfed in the armor, and he stopped feeling some of his wounds. In fact, his strength seemed to increase, as did his vision. He was capable of seeing things from one end of town to the other.
Thus, Kamen Rider Typhoon was born.
After having adjusted to his bodies new state, he began, albeit clumsily, to fight the Bat-Saur in an attempt to protect the people still in the area.
The story of this world has only just begun...
