January 4th, 2013 Yggdrasil Corp, a rapidly rising star in the corporate world purchased the land rights to a fairly large island in the pacific to begin the development of a large scale planned community named Valhalla City. Fifteen years later that planned city has grown into a massive metropolis centered around the massive Yggdrasil Tower in the center which provides most of the services and goods for those that have come to reside there, as well as providing most of the employment opportunities within the city. The city itself is divided into three layers, at the top is the Asgard district home to the city's rich and most influential, almost entirely populated by Yggdrasil's higher ups and their families, in the middle is the Midgard district a sort of middle ground that while not nearly as luxurious as the layer above is much better than the layer below known as Niflheim, the Niflheim district is at the bottom and until recently largely forgotten by the layers above due to mostly benign neglect it's livable but the much better quality of the above layers spurs many of it's residents to try and work their way up.

It is only in more recent times that the Niflheim district actually began getting the attention of the residents above. It all started when groups of youths began banding together into gangs of sorts some becoming trouble makers, and some becoming local security providers to make up for the lack of police presence in the lower districts. In times those groups increased in size, and as they got bigger the amount of space they claimed as theirs tended to grow as well, and with only so much territory to go around disputes began happening and they started to get violent. After plenty of broken bones and bruises one of the leaders called the leaders of the other gangs together to come to an agreement regarding the settling of disputes. Instead of brutal street fighting turf disputes would be decided by motorbike races through the city. These races began to attract the attention of those above, who began bringing more and more along with them to watch, and eventually the races were televised with the police choosing to ignore the less legal aspects of the whole thing as it made for good entertainment for those in all three layers. Given the name Street Riders the whole thing got pretty popular with the teams popularity and rankings being tracked throughout the city. One group began to lose rather consistently and it's territory continued to shrink, causing them to look for any options that could give them an edge down there from tweaking their bike to blatant cheating, though none of that worked it wasn't until a well dressed man came to them offering to give them something revolutionary to aid them. He opened his brief case and handed several members stylized locks that he referred to as Lockseeds and encouraged them to open the lock while being careful not to let them go, doing as he instructed they summoned forth creatures the likes of which they had never seen before called Invess, with that he took his leave. Soon they began using their Invess to intimidate others into surrendering without a race. Soon other gangs began seeking out this lockseed dealer to get their own and thus the Invess game came into being. Soon enough this replaced the races, and the Street Rider name became something of an artifact title with everything riding on the Invess games. Many agreed that as long as no one was hurt it was alright though. There were some dangers to the Lockseeds, if the holder dropped theirs the summoned Invess would run wild and attack people, but even then it tended to have a sort of appeal that just drew people in.

Life continues in Niflheim this way, with the food chain being largely dependent on the games but sooner or later some may grow bored of this passtime. In time the game may have to change even more....

Other Yggdrasil City info:
1. Rather than carrying around currency all residents have an ID card that also tracks how much money they have and is used for making purchases. Payment is also rendered to them through this system. If an ID is lost it is difficult to replace, and in extreme cases the ID can be revoked all together, when that happens you may a well not even exist in Valhalla City.
2.The layers are connected by a series of elevators and Yggdrasil Tower runs through all three layers.
3.Their are hidden routes between layers.
4. Lockseed distribution only happens in the Niflheim district.

Street Rider Gangs:

Golden Gaim Guard: Originally started a small scale security patrol in their neighborhood the group quickly rose to prominence when their original leader suggested racing to settle disputes, primarily because of a member's mechanical expertise and fast reflexes on a motorcycle. when the original leader got a job and moved up the Midgard layer their racing representative took the lead. Despite still being very prominent it's been having some tough times with their rival gang the Red Barons.

Current Leader: Alex Flynn

Red Barons: Coming from more troubled origins the Red Barons purpose was primarily to let others know how strong they were and that they were not to be messed with. When someone struck at them, they paid it back double, if one of them was messed with they swarmed in on them. Their original leader wasn't too enthusiastic about the racing days but went with them. These days leadership changes a lot due to many within the group believing they should be at the top.

current Leader: Kawaguchi Kouichi "Crow"

Dragon Rush:
A far less combative gang that often focused more on acting strong to get others to back down before a fight even started and in an all out fight often relied more on sneakier tactics. During the racing era their bikes tended to be tricked out completely for speed and could be more than a little dangerous to ride, requiring courageous and gutsy riders. While not having the means to take on the Red Barons or Golden Gaim Guard they do alright and can hold their own against the other gangs pretty well.

Current Leader: Claire Griffin

Black Flag: The original Invess summoning group and sadly the first one to be left in the dust when the bigger groups got in on the action. They continue to try an move up the ranks with determination but need some more resources and better ranked lockseeds to get ahead.

Current Leader: Priya Sinha

Hammerheads: Another small time group that's having some trouble lately. These days they have focused more on defending and holding the territory that they have rather than expanding which has also caused them to sort of fall of the other gangs radars for the time being, giving them a little bit more freedom.

Current Leader: James William

Lockseeds: Every rider has at least one Lockseed to transform, some have additional Lockseeds for alternate weaponry.

History: One of the founding members of the Golden Gaim Guard and the one that came up with it's name stating that even if it was largely nonsensical the alliteration gave it a certain coolness. Though by his own admission he wasn't much of a leader or organizer and preferred to let his friend, Brian Richter handle all the leading. It just wasn't his kind of thing really. Like most members of the Niflheim district gangs he was born and raised in Valhalla City, his parents owning a small business in the district, figuring its better to be at the top of their own thing rather than be at the bottom of the Yggdrasil ladder, though this didn't stop them from encouraging Alex to consider getting a job at Yggdrasil when he was out of school as it would make it easier for him to make it further up the ladder in the city, and maybe giving them a few grand kids someday. When it came down to it though he didn't seem all that interested in things like jobs, or family. No he was far more interested in the activities with GGG as it' where he felt more at home, and where he tended to get the rush and thrill he tended to crave more than anything else to the point where when Brian suggested negotiating with the other leaders to find a less dangerous way to settle disputes he got a little worried, but soon found a way to preserve that rush in the form of the races. He didn't know where life might led him, and didn't know what he wanted to do with his life and for him the only thing that made sense was the tightly knit group of comrades that he and his friend had assembled around him. This was all the more apparent when Brian left the group for a promising job at Yggdrasil, that Alex had turned down in order to stay with the group. It was about that time that things started to get tough down below with the introduction of the Invess game and the mad scramble to obtain better lockseeds coupled with the fact that he wasn't half the leader that Brian was. Since then he has struggled to keep the group stable and keep their territory firmly in their hands while the Red Barons kept going after them again and again without letting up and is essentially holding an unstable stalemate while he tries to plan out some sort of strategy.

Things at home weren't exactly going smoothly either, his refusal to move forward in life didn't exactly sit well with his parents causing them to kick him out in hopes of him going in the right direction though so far this just led to him taking up residence in the GGG's little base of operations. It wasn't much but it was a shelter and generally he wasn't interrupted when trying to eat, provided he got his hands on some food to begin with, usually given to him by other members of the gang. While some are annoyed by his lack of leadership skills, those that think of him as a friend see it more as he took over at the worst possible time and are just trying to get through it. On th flipped side the Red Barons see this as an opportunity to get even more aggressive and some of the up and comers have been trying to lend their aid to the group in order to have GGG become indebted to them. Needless to say he misses the racing era where all it took was his tools and a bike to get ahead and stay ahead rather than this game where some weird holographic creatures were the deciding factor, the whole nature of the game didn't sit all that well with him anyway. He was one of the few that wondered bout the Invess, he had seen an Invess go wild far too often to be all that comfortable playing the Invess Game himself and was fairly certain it was more than a game. Whatever it was though it had become huge and it was here to stay and he had to deal with it. He needs a game changer and needs it soon.

Despite the tense situation he always attempts to play it cool and put off a brave face, acting like stuff isn't getting to him at all, partly so his friends don't worry and partly to convince himself that things will be just fine in the end. Recently though his spirits have risen a bit, when he got a message from a mysterious source, claiming to have just the game changer he needs.

Name: Kawaguchi Kouichi "Crow"

Age: 21

Rider Identity: Kamen Rider Baron

Appearance: http://www.youwall.com/papel/uchiha_itachi_wallpaper_01989.jpg

Primary Lockseed: Banana

History: Coming from one of the richest families in Asgard, Kouichi was a very cheerful and kind hearted boy at a young age. His father had worked closely with the higher ups in Yggdrasil when they had purchased the land rights in order to create the establishment it is today. However, peace and happiness was not written down as part of Kouichi's future.

When he grew into a teenager, Kouichi soon found out that not only were his uncles greedy and self centred businessmen, they also didn't care about the wellbeing of Kouichi's family. Yggdrasil, in an attempt to clean out the "unnecessary" Shareholders of the company, got rid of the Kawaguchis (who had been trying to do various charitable events uniting the city under one roof, rather than to have the citizens rebel as Street Riders)... all except Kouichi, who hid away inside the closet of his room as he watched a white armoured figure ruthlessly slaughter his family. Powerless, the poor teenage boy shed silent tears as he sat in the dark closet, vowing to find his courage in the darkness and the strength to carry on with his burden. With that, Kouichi ran away far, far from home...

Years later, a fully grown Kouichi emerged, having made a name for himself in the Niflheim district, as the current leader of the Red Barons. Having abandoned his real name, and now going by the name "Crow", Kouichi's path of vengeance was put on hold for now. He intends to use the Red Barons to it's full potential, but without ever needed to appear on the spot himself (He believes that he can get the main job done alone with his own power, while he lets his "goons" take on the more boring jobs like harassing GGG and putting them in their rightful place).

Kouichi's true goal is to crush Yggdrasil, and find out the motivation for his family's murder, and destroy the white armoured Rider who had taken everything away from him.

As Red Baron's leader, he lets his best mate Joey deal with everything team related, while he, Kouichi, would deal with more personal quarrels. To Kouichi, Invess and Humans are the same. He just considers that one is the muscle, and the other is the brain controlling it. However, these days, fighting Invess against higher level Invess is getting tougher and tougher, and even more dangerous when people lose control of their Lockseeds. Kouichi needs to find a way to get a hold of a greater power, but the more he desires it, the more questions arises, and the more he points his finger at Yggdrasil.

Primary Lockseed: Budou (grape)

Bio: Not much is known about Claire Griffin other than the fact that she was born in the Niflheim district, where the poorest citizens of Valhalla City tended to reside. She had no known parents, nor a roof to reside in. As a child, she mostly subsisted off of scraps she could find around Niflheim, as well as small amounts of money loaded to her (usually empty) ID card as payment for a few "favors", mostly small jobs around town such as delivering stuff from point A to Point B. All in all, it was a rough life, especially for a little girl, as food didn't always come her way; There were times where she would go to sleep hungry and cold, but still trying her best to survive.

Her fate would change somewhat, however, when she stumbled upon a garage the biker gang Dragon Rush called home. Though incensed at first at her intrusion, then leader Xiuquan Xie noticed the young girl trembling and hungry as she tried to huddle from the rain. Since that time, Claire grew up from the starving young girl to a beautiful young woman, her job evolving from a "runner" -- someone who was usually sent to secretly sabotage the opposing team's bikes -- to one of the team's best racers, though she, like the rest of the team, usually struggled against the mightier Red Barons and Golden Gaim Guard. At around the time Xiuquan Xie decided to pass on the helm of leadership to her, the teams started to shift away from daring bike races, to Invess battles, where each team would use Lockseeds to summon monsters known as Invess to do battle with the other team's Invess. Though she had a bit of reservation about the Invess, Claire decided to also adopt the system, mainly due to a strong show of support from the rest of her team, as well as the fact that bike races are a relic of times gone by. Like Gaim, she also battles any Invess that may go berserk from any given Invess battles as a means of training to get better, though inwardly, she also battles those Invess, as she feels that their team, as well as the other teams, are dabbling in something far more dangerous than what they could ever hope to imagine.

In combat, Claire is more than capable of going toe-to-toe with Invess and other Riders, having been trained by Xiuquan in martial arts. However, her preferred method of combat is running circles around her enemies, and picking them off with her pistol weapon, the Budou Ryuhou.

Primary Lockseed: Matsubokkuri (Pinecone)

Bio: Despite being currently in the Niflheim district, this wasn't always so for Priya, as she used to reside in Midgard. She was an up and coming spokesperson/model for a radio station that was trying to get its bearings in Valhalla City. Priya had a superiority complex, however, which made her rather hard to work with at times, especially with peers that she was supposed to work with.

Things came to a head when Yggdrasil bought the label outright, for their own reasons and Priya was to be reviewed to see if she would keep her position after the takeover. When she received news that she didn't get to keep it after all, saying that she did not take it well was an understatement. She trashed a few co-workers vehicles and, not wanting to be caught, took drastic measures and willingly went to the Niflheim district via a brother of hers who lived down there.

Now in much more limited living conditions, she wanted to keep busy as to not realize how much she had screwed up so far. Her brother helped out with this, as he was the leader of he Black Flag Street Rider group. It was shortly after he got Lockseeds to try and change the group's fortunes, but they soon found themselves lacking compared to the other groups. This got to a point where he couldn't really deal with the stress of things and pretty much foisted responsibility of the team onto Priya, with him oddly disappearing shortly thereafter. Angry at first, Priya thought about giving up and dissolving the group then and there, but she had already ran away from things once before. Not wanting to repeat her past actions, Priya is looking for ways to turn things around for her team as some kind of redemption act for herself.

Priya tries to be cordial and nice to others, but, in reality, is always looking for some way to undermine others so she can come out ahead. That said, she treats her fellow Black Flag members better than most, and has tried to address her superiority and ego issues, but has met with little success since she takes pride in Black Flag's initial venture into Invess Battles, even though she didn't really have a hand in it.
