Looks cool! There's a light bulb so yeah, probably Edison Soul. Robin Soul looks like it'd be a ranged weapon form. "Hello! Arrow! Let's meet in the forest!"
0_0 Edison soul's face is a light bulb, and robin soul's face is a bow an arrow. I'm sold. I'm friggin sold.
Those horns on Edison make it seem like that form can never take off its hood though... Love how classic the base form looks, and yep, the eyeball gimmicks look exactly like personality cores Looking at the close-ups, it looks as though the face might be able to light up. Hope so. That would be awesome.
Considering that the show's main character (the main Rider) is going to be technically dead, I wonder how dark Toei would be willing to go with this. I understand that Kamen Rider is a children's show (10 - 15 age range) so we probably can't expect to much. However, I'm hoping that the show does confront death and the emotions surrounding it; sorrow over one's own mortality, anger at not being alive any more, etc.
Kamen Rider Double Spoiler:
However, it's more likely that this will be Philip (Kamen Rider Double) situation where he comes back to life at the end and it turns into a happy-go-lucky search for all of the Eyecons.
I think you overestimate the age range of the primary target audience of Rider...The age range seems to me to be from kindergarten until near the end of elementary school. The second target audience would be the parents of these kids, and the third would be older fans like us.
Makes you wonder how Faiz ever got the go-ahead. But yeah, these days at least, the darkest you could expect is about W level, which is plenty IMO. And of course the main rider is going survive he series. he's the man character, and I'm pretty sure he's contractually obligated to a movie wars appearance xD

It was my understanding that it was Super Sentai which was targeted at the younger audience (kindergarten as you said), with Kamen Rider being target at the pre-teen to mid-teen age viewers. I don't have any actual evidence for this, however; it was just something I picked up from watching various Super Sentai and Kamen Rider seasons (it always appeared, at least to me, that Kamen Rider had the more complex and darker narratives) and reading peoples thoughts about them forums such as Henshin Justice Unlimited.
