Captain Marvelous: portrayed by Ozawa Ryota

Young Captain of the Kaizoku Sentai. Always sparkling, a "wild man". Desires everything to be stimulating, and is always curious. Once he sets his aims on a target, he moves forward without flinching, no matter what. He is the type to poke his head in where it doesn't belong, and he often brandishes his crew of 4 with unreasonable orders.

JoeGibken.jpg

Joe Gibken: portrayed by Yamada Yuuki

A calm man, whose words are few. A compliment from this man is rare, a man with a serious personality who is hard on himself. Always training up his abilities with weapons, and never misses. Has known Marvelous the longest, and as such, he understands Marvelous the best out of the entire crew. He was originally an elite of Zangyaku but after coming into contact with Marvelous, he becomes one of the Kaizoku Sentai.

LucaMillfy.jpg

Luca Millfy: Ichimichi Mao

An active woman who dislikes needing to have a reason to act. Excels in RECON and exploration, and has a strong tenacity for treasure hunting, earning her respect from her peers. However, her need to get the treasure often makes her forget the mission is in front of her, be that when it comes to the enemies, or her friends.

DonDogoier.jpg

Don Dogoier (Hakase): portrayed by Shimizu Kazuki

A man from a cautious sect that has an alarmist attitude, and always assumes the worst. He is a pacifist who causes trouble because he wants to avoid fighting. However, it is due to his quick thinking and rare brain power that compliments Marvelous' wreckless attitude. Inventions from his calm judgment and clear brain often end up saving the team when they're in trouble.

AimDeFamille.jpg

Aim de Famille: portrayed by Koike Yui

Former Princess of a certain planet who was picked up by Marvelous in space. Has "Geniality" and "Grace" that doesn't suit a pirate, making her quite different from her 4 shipmates. If a person is in distress, she can't help but want to help them. However, because she is always looking for someone to save, she can be a pain in the neck for her teammates. Also, she loves tea.

GokaiOh

Waruzu Giru (Shireikan/Commander):

Young Commander of the Emperor's bloodline. Has an irreverent attitude, always showing his sense of being one of the Elite. Has a desire to get the Emperor to acknowledge him. Thinking the Earth to be a planet he could easily conquer, he lead a giant fleet there. To his allies, let alone his enemies, he shows a cruel nature. He tends to force his ideas on people, and give his subbordinates arbitrary instructions.

Damaras (Sanbouchou/Chief of Staff):

Soldier of Zangyakku who bears the name "Warrior of the Strongest Status." A monsterish warrior with fighting power, he is a battle specialist with a cool head. He is ordered to accompany Waruzu Giru by the Emperor, and assist him as his Assistant Operations Chief of Staff.

Insaan (Kaihatsu Gikan/Development Technical Officer):

Zangyakku's Mad Scientist. Supplies the "Action Forces" with powerful weapons, and remodels them. Using a special energy gun, she can resurrect an "Action Commander" who was defeated, and make them grow giant.

A Cyborg whose whole body is mechanized, and who is completely loyal to Waruzu Giru. Has an eerie presence, and a systematic sense, and is something of a mystery.

- Oh man, that giant Super Sentai battle was amazing, I guess they did end up doing a suicideish attack on the baddies.

- And the Gokaiger really are from another planet, figured they were humans given space powers.

- That is a pretty opening, I love the shots of the ship over the cities, I hope that shows up a lot.

- They have their powers to start, nice!

- That mecha battle was...freakishly good for Sentai, I hope they can keep it up. LOVE the cockpit.

- And they...make the most amusing introduction to the public in some time. I love how forward Marvelous was about the entire thing, they all really seem so oblivious to how out of the ordinary this is.

- The villains seem interesting. They definitely look a lot better in motion, there's a really interesting air to them in motion, I love the way they seem to interact so far.

- That reference to Sun Vulcan was nice, very blink and you miss it.

- Explosion! And Luka flipping out over money, that was amusing.

- Definitely liking Don at this point, he's not the crazy d-bag type I thought he would be, but he's pretty likable.

- Mass attack on the city! Nice, haven't seen one of those in a while.

- Ooh, so they don't want to help the humans out at first? Well, besides Ahim. Seems like Marvelous comes through for motivation.

- Random speech about what being a true pirate is all about!

- Wow, that is a sexy transformation, I love the black undersuits.

- I like the fights, they all definitely show their own unique style in combat, Don and Marvelous are especially fun to watch. Seeing them trade sidearms was also interesting, adds a fun style to the fights.

- Seeing the Goranger suits in nice clarity is impressive and i love their own twis-thehelldiditjustbecomeatruck. Oh god I loved that.

- Shinkenger! I don't care too much about them but whatever!

- Magiranger! Too short to really tell, but I love male!Magiblue's suit.

- That attack, Final Wave(?), was pretty nice to look at.

- Wow, brushing off the kids like that was rather cold, but I like how Marvelous handled it, definitely like him.

- That ending theme is...interesting. I love how they handled the Sentai where Don or the girls were the odd ones out.

Quick thoughts on the actors

- I like Marvelous, he plays his character in a cool-but-not-d-bag manner

- Don is really fun to watch, not terribly annoying or anything and quite hilarious at times.

- Luka is a lot of fun, going to be interesting watching her over the year, hopefully she becomes a bit more tolerable in terms of her vanity.

- Ahim is your generic princess type

- Joe is...well I don't know, doesn't seem to be much to him at this point.

Overall, I liked it! Was a fun episode and it didn't pack too much into itself the way Decade did, yet you can tell there are still traces of story that will form something grand, what with the big suicide attack and all!

Of course...Keyhole was shittier then usual today..

Other then that..GREAT episode. I felt the adventure in it. Love the swarm of alien ships, it was non-stop action. I really like the characters, the henshin...:O_O: Jaw droppingly awesome. :buttrock::buttrock: The role calls were BADASS as well. Everything was just breathe taking really.

This is definitely half a "Space" season for sure.

Well not everyone needs subs to watch their shows and there are programs (like Keyhole) that allow people to stream Japanese TV live.

And I'm glad my stream wasn't as bad as others, only froze once or twice and a quick stop and restart fixed that up.

Although I have to warn you, Keyhole lags sometimes, especially when there's lots of people watching.

I have to re-watch it again but I loved what I did see. It's ashame the beginning had to look like Decade...Really?

The space battle brought back massive memories for me. I love that type of stuff.

The cockpit is interesting. It's like a mix between Megaranger and Magiranger. Don't mind it but it looks way to dark.

The Villains seem interesting. Certainly they have better potential than what we've seen the last 3 seasons.

The henshin/battle was amazing. Uncanny action, It just seemed beautiful. Brushing off the kids? I love it. After last season's love fest for kids and everything under the sun, It's about time we see some asshole type heroes.

I love how they landed. Even though, the city should be pissed they just ruined the area.

The henshin itself made the episode for me. Just fantastic.

Overall, 10/10.
