Most of you probably know him as the Angry Video Game Nerd...but there's more to James Rolfe himself then just the AVGN. He's an aspiring film maker, movie fan, geek and all around a great guy.

I started out obviously watching the AVGN videos which I greatly enjoyed, but then I went on to discover his movie reviews, particularly the old horror films. He's done so much more, including two documentaries on himself and his life in general. You get a real sense of his passion for the lengths he went to make things happen the way he wanted them, manipulating technology and inventing new, obscure methods that ended up working out great.

I enjoy other personalities like the Nostalgia Critic, but I still greatly enjoy what James brings to the table...you can feel his passion in everything, and not always in the same vein as the AVGN videos. If you enjoy his AVGN videos, please consider giving his other videos a watch and visiting his website. Oh yeah, he's a huge Godzilla fan and does a monster movie marathon every October called Monster Madness. Be sure to check out "You Know What's Bullshit?" and "Board James" segments as well.

James Rolfe...respects the G (even though he placed the Giant Claw, which is big as a battleship, over Godzilla in his Top 10):sly:

Douglas Walker...hates the G...G98/Deanzilla/Zilla only made him "Less credible than he already was."

I wish he'd do more of those "You Know What's Bullshit?" segments. Even I've noticed a few things that are complete bull and shouldn't has to be dealt with.

James an i have similar taste in Horror movies.

We both don't feel like todays "Horror" Movies are all that good, relying on ether loud/sudden noises to scare or unsettling amounts of Blood/Gore. Back in the Silent era, and even up until the 70's, it was what you DIDN'T see that put you on edge.

I can't remember if James has said anything similar, but i dislike Slasher Films as they rely on predictable "BOO!" scares and Gore.

He likes slasher flims sort of, but the earlier ones and obviously not all the sequels to sequels they've made. If you watch his history of horror films videos though, you'll see it.

And we're right in the middle of Monster Madness, today's film is an Exorcist rip off called The Manitou. Oh yeah, it's Camp Cult.
