This just in: Jack Black has been called forth to play all the video game characters that Chris Pratt isn’t playing. The long-in-development Minecraft movie has picked him up to play Steve, the lead character and one of two people you can be in the game (the other’s Alex, the girl). The casting comes hot off Black’s performance as Bowser in the Super Mario Bros Movie.

Another video game movie? Color me unimpressed. Jack Black is a talented actor, but the track record of turning games into movies isn't great. I'll believe it when I see it. Maybe I'm just jaded from past disappointments, but my expectations are on the lower end of the spectrum for this one.

I mean, who better to embody the essence of a character with a blank slate than the guy who rocked as Bowser? I'm hoping for some hilarious, off-the-wall antics. Can't wait to see Black bring Steve to life—block by block!

Wait, there's a Minecraft movie? And Jack Black is in it? Well, that's unexpected. I guess if it's anything like his other roles, it'll be a fun ride. But seriously, can someone explain why we're making movies about video games? Not complaining, just genuinely curious. The moment Jack Black succeed playing the role of a teen girl I know we can play everything

Jack Black singing as Bowser was pure gold! Now, he's taking on Steve in Minecraft? Can't wait for the laughs. I hope he brings some of that School of Rock energy to the blocky world. Just imagine Steve breaking into a rock anthem while crafting—hilarious!

Ugh, another video game adaptation. Just what we needed. I've seen enough of these attempts to bring gaming into movies, and they rarely hit the mark. Adding Jack Black doesn't change the fact that most of these adaptations end up feeling forced and disconnected from the source material. I'll believe it when I see it, but my expectations are low.Interesting choice for a movie, but can they really make a compelling story out of Minecraft? I mean, the game is all about creativity and building, not so much about a narrative. Hope they don't turn it into another generic video game adaptation. I'll reserve judgment until I see a trailer, I guess.

Minecraft movie? Seems like Hollywood is mining the gaming industry for ideas. I appreciate Jack Black's versatility, but I hope they don't overshadow the simplicity and charm of the original game. Let's hope it's not just another attempt to capitalize on the gaming trend.

Minecraft? Really? I appreciate unique projects, but turning a sandbox game into a movie seems like a stretch. Jack Black is talented, sure, but I'm not sure if this is the right canvas for his skills. I'll reserve judgment, but I'm not holding my breath for a groundbreaking cinematic experience. The game barely had a plot
