So I finished three more dramas:
Hard Nut!
Standard Galileo/Trick-type drama, but with way less humor than Trick. Like the aforementioned two, it's an intelligent, but quirky main character helping an average person solve difficult cases.
The Math used is quite intelligent and diverse (I tried nitpicking it, but it's really well-written from that POV). The lead actress is great... I think she had a Fukuoka accent, and she was adorable. The lead male is Kengo Kora from several movies (I think the Death Note ones, at least)
Clinic on The Sea/Umi no Ue Shinryoujo
It's like Unubore Deka but with doctors, and obviously without Kudo Kankuro to write it and Nagase Tomoya to deliver the humor. The premise is that the quirky, handsome, but surprisingly unpopular Dr. Kota delivers medical aid to islands, and ends up falling up with a girl and wanting to marry and quit his job in every case.
The lead, Shota Matsuda (from LIAR Game and Hana Yori Dango) was very lovable in the role, and the very pretty cast which includes Sota Fukushi (Kamen Rider Fourze's Gentaro), Emi Takei (Rurouni Kenshin's Kaoru), Norika Fujiwara, and a girl of the week. Also has Erika Toda in a recurring role leading to a mention of LIAR GAME in the narration. Great sweet story, too.
Yamada-Kun to Nananin no Majo/Yamada and the Seven Witches
I think this is based on a Shoujo manga, and it shows in the visuals. The story is that Yamada the school delinquent accidentally gets kissed by Shiraishi, the school-top notcher, and their bodies end up switched. A little digging up leads to the realization that there are seven witches in the school with powers that was the cause of the switching.
It has two Kamen Riders in it, Yamada played by Yamamoto Yusuke (Kamen Rider Sasori) and Tokuyama Hidenori (Kamen Rider KickHopper, among other toku roles) playing high school students, which was kinda hilarious by itself. Mariya Nishiuchi was very good in her role as urara Shiraishi, and I may watch her in Switch Girl! for it. Also another very pretty and young cast (there are seven witches after all), including at least two gravure models (Airi Matsui and Yukie Kawamura).
There is a LOT of kissing in this show, but there are only a few really sweet ones, and they were really good. The gender-bending premise means that there are at least three guys kissing each other and several Girl-kissing-girl scenes. I wasn't turned off by it, but YMMV.
