I have to admit, I just :laugh:'ed at the absurdity (by Western standards) of this.

NEW DELHI — A court issued arrest warrants for Hollywood actor Richard Gere and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty on Thursday, saying their kiss at a public function "transgressed all limits of vulgarity," media reports said.


So for anyone traveling in India, remember, no public D.O.A.s!

I'm guessing that its because Richard Gere ISN'T Indian might have something to do with it.

The sad thing is, he actually goes to India quite often (as is said in the linked article. You'd think that he'd be aware of things like this by now.
