If you’re looking for a bloody revenge thriller with a message, Hunt Club from Director Elizabeth Blake-Thomas delivers on the “Me Too” murder mayhem with a grindhouse throwback edge.

As a feminist, I was hesitant to watch Hunt Club at first. The idea of women being hunted for sport appeared exploitative and insensitive. However, the film's approach to the subject matter pleasantly surprised me. The female protagonists are strong and resilient, refusing to be defined by their prey status. The film's exploration of toxic masculinity is also commendable, shedding light on the perils of clinging to outdated gender roles. Overall, Hunt Club is a powerful film that examines societal norms while also providing a satisfying revenge fantasy.

I've always enjoyed grindhouse films, so I was eager to see Hunt Club. The film certainly delivers on the gore and violence, but its message is what sets it apart. The portrayal of toxic masculinity and how it can lead to violence in the film is disturbingly timely. A talented cast also contributes to the film's success, including a scene-stealing performance by Casper Van Dien as the film's villain. Hunt Club isn't for everyone, but for those who enjoy a good revenge film with a message, it's well worth seeing.

Not only does it keep you on the edge of your seat, but it also makes you think, 'Hmm, maybe toxic masculinity isn't such a great idea after all.' And let's not forget the badass female characters who give those macho dudes a run for their money.

Maya Stojan and Mena Suvari absolutely kill it in their roles, and the whole cast is just top-notch. Sure, the violence might make some folks squeamish, but if you're into revenge flicks with a side of social commentary, this one's for you.

Seriously, Hunt Club deserves a standing ovation, but I'll settle for you just watching it and laughing, crying, and cringing along with me.

David Vs Goliath scenarios is something I like in movies and that convinces me to give Hunt Club a watch, as it sounds like a bloody revenge thriller that delivers a strong message with some social commentary. I love the fact that Hunt Club's cast features many familiar faces from the 90s. It's always exciting to see actors making a comeback in the industry. Glad to see Mena and Mickey doing a movie again.

Watched this movie days ago and I enjoyed it. The idea of using women as prey in the hunt is horrifying, but it's interesting to see how the film explores the idea of emasculated alpha males trying to reclaim their masculinity through violence. The scenes between Mena Suvari and Will Peltz are some of the most effective in the film, and Peltz's portrayal of the innocent Jackson is both sympathetic and natural.

I gotta confess that I was pleasantly impressed by the movie's original take on the "humans hunting humans" idea. The cast's performances, especially those of Mena Suvari and Will Peltz, were subtle and compelling. The plot's societal critique was thought-provoking.

It's always a gamble when casting actors who haven't been in the spotlight for a while, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the performances in "Hunt Club." Mena Suvari in particular gave a powerful performance that was a far cry from her "American Pie" and "Loser" days. I always remember her as a teenager in movies. Now she is in her 40s.

Although "Hunt Club" is undeniably violent and gory, I found myself drawn in by the film's message about the dangers of toxic masculinity. Casper Van Dien's character in particular was chilling in his conviction that the hunt was necessary to reclaim his masculinity - a message that feels disturbingly relevant in today's political climate. In real life we have teenage boys idolizing that jerk Andrew Tate, which is really disturbing. So the evil men from this movie are about to exist in real life because boys are having bad role models.
