How much would things change if Tommy Oliver (MMPR) died and Burai lived?

What would happen if Rita Repulsa used the green candle to light up,
which not only return Tommy Oliver's powers back to her, but will
also end him, and the Power Rangers are doing everything they can
to prevent their friend's death?

What would happen if Burai (the Dragonranger) was able to
save himself and the boy from death and along with his comrades,
lived throughout the Super Sentai show, Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger?

What would happen if, despite the Rangers efforts, ended up
dying but, gave his powers to Jason before he was gone?

How different would MMPR and Zyuranger get if these scenarios happened?

How would sentai/tokusatsu and power ranger fans react towards
these scenarios if they had taken place way back when?

Finally, would the higher-ups have Tommy return? If they did, in what
would they go about bringing him back into the PR series?

I imagine they could have used a combination of morphing grid energy and Zordon's life force to jump start Tommy back to life. If the morphing grid can create life I don't see why it couldn't be used to resuscitate someone.
