Forums are still fairly popular, and you have a lot of larger geek-centric ones out there but there are also cases of forums with younger user bases that migrate to social media. (though there are still plenty with an even spread in the demographics)
I'm suddenly reminded of that boys' only thread from a few years ago.Scaring away all the females that used to post here probably didn't help matters much either.
Yeah... they should be considered as that, shouldn't they?(also, umm, I thought forums WERE social media)
As I said, Toku is still actively talked about in Twitter, Facebook, etc. so I don't understand why that activity is not around in forums anymore.I doubt social media has killed forums. It really depends on the main topic. Take Pokémon for example, Serebiiforums and Bulbagarden Forums are just as popular/active as they were years ago.
I don't recall one. There was a girls-only thread and a machine-only thread that I created.I'm suddenly reminded of that boys' only thread from a few years ago.

Keith Justice said:Thanks for hanging around, HJU Fam. It's been a hell of an adventure. I'm up for handing the reins of the site over to someone if you're interested. Drop a comment on who you are and what your visionand qualifications might be to keep the fires of HJU burning.
Thanks again for everything. I'm not shutting anything down, but my tastes and life grew and changed and while I'll always be up for drop kicking a monster until they explode, I think HJU deserves the passion of someone else to carry it further and provide more fun for everyone.
So if you're interested and have some ideas... I'm all ears.![]()
Rock on,
