This is VEEEEEEEEEEERY bad. I don't know many other directors that could match the rich visual flare that del Toro could have brought.

I have to say I'm disappointed, but I can understand why he had to do this. I just wonder who they will get now.

Del Toro seemed like such a perfect match for the movie, but it really was time for him to move on. The movies been in development hell for like two years now with no end in sight.

Maybe Jackson will step in now?

Like what I pasted said. Jackson doesn't have time to do more than produce and help write. He has other commitments.

I also agree with you Keith. I mean Pan's Labyrinth was not only a well told story, but it was one of the most visually stunning movies ever made.

The DVD special features is sprinkled with things he wants to do for a part 3. It would be so amazing, like,
