Plot: Years have passed since the Ghostbusters have kept the city of New York safe and free from ghosts. Due to declining business, as well as multiple lawsuits that have been filed against them, the Ghostbusters have disbanded, the business closed for good. Fortunately, throughout the years, the city has managed to do fine without the group, with Paranormal activity having been low to non-existent. However, in the year 2015, all that has changed. Paranormal activity, as well as the trouble associated with it, has seen a recent spike. Residents, from the upscale Manhattan, to the poorest residents residing in The Bronx, have reported sightings of ghosts, as well as possessions by ghosts. Many have tried various ways of dealing with said ghosts, ranging from the denial of their existence, to religious rituals designed to ward off said beings, all of which had varying degrees of success.

The spike in paranormal activity has also caught the attention of a group of students in a University in New York. Though the world of Academia has scoffed at their projects involving Paranormal research, the students, having extensively studied the research made long ago by Dr. Egon Spengler and his colleagues, have decided to revive the very business Egon and his associates, Dr. Peter Venkman and Dr. Ray Stantz ran long ago. Setting up shop in a building very similar to the firehouse the original Ghostbusters did business in, the students hope to not only use the business as a means to further research the paranormal, but also take control against the ghosts terrorizing the residents of New York City, as well as the surrounding areas. Though the revival of this business, which the students called "Ghostbusters" in honor of the founders, would draw admiration from some, it would also draw ire and dismay from others, including the EPA, who caught wind of the students using Unlicensed Nuclear proton packs, as well as a nuclear storage device, as tools of the trade. However, the students would find that the EPA would be the least of their worries, as somewhere, somehow, the rise in the number of ghosts would be linked to a cult worshipping an entity the original Ghostbusters defeated long ago...

Equipment:
----------------------------------------------------

Proton Pack: The Primary ghost capturing device used by the Ghostbusters. It fires a torrent of positively charged ions known as a Proton Stream to harness ghosts, which are made of negative energy. The new version used by the team can also fire more powerful bolts of positive energy, as well as green slime, which can counteract black slime. It is noted that the Proton Streams must NEVER be crossed, or total protonic reversal may occur, potentially causing an instantaneous loss of life.

Trap: A temporary storage device used to transport Captured ghosts back to the base, where the ghosts are then transferred to a Containment grid. The Newer versions of the traps can carry several ghosts before it gets full.

P.K.E. meter: A device used to detect Psychokinetic Energy, allowing the Ghostbusters to track down ghosts, as well as similar entities.

Ecto-Goggles: Allows the Ghostbusters to visually detect Ghosts, as well as other P.K.E. valences.

Motorola MT500 Radio: Allows the team to remain in contact even when separated.

Containment unit: Located at the basement of the Ghostbusters' headquarters, it is a large laser confinement grid that allows the Ghostbusters to restrain the ghosts they capture. Essentially an energy-based prison.

Ecto-1: A repurposed 1959 Cadillac ambulance/hearse the team uses to respond to any ghost sightings within the city. Is equipped with a siren system, as well as the team logo (painted on the side). The vehicle has enough room to store the proton packs, as well as the other equipment the team uses.

Ghostbusters (max 6):

Ryomou Akatsuki: Milky Rose

(Additional Ghostbusters, Allies and Villains to be added as bios become available)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Ryomou Akatsuki

Age: 26

Appearance:

Equipment: Proton Pack, P.K.E. Meter, Ecto-Goggles

Bio: Ryomou, like the others involved in the newly-revived Ghostbusters business, are doctorate students at the Strider University's Psychology department, with their field of study focused mainly upon the study of ghosts, as well as other paranormal phenomena such as E.S.P. Among the others, Ryomou is the most invested in the research on ghosts and other paranormal phenomena, as she tends to read up on literature pertaining to them, ranging from scholarly writings by others who have made the research, primarily writings by Drs. Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Egon Spengler, to non-scholarly literature, such as Occult Academy and Bleach. She would also be the first to notice through her research the noticeable rise in paranormal activity by ghosts throughout the city. Feeling somewhat concerned by this spike, Ryomou was about to spearhead the project among her colleagues, when the Dean and the provost of the university approached her, telling her that the Univerisity is slashing their funding. Undeterred, Ryomou and the others decided to take their act elsewhere. Having researched the capability of using positive energy to harness and capture ghosts, Ryomou, along with the others, decided to revive a business once run by the very researchers she read about -- Ghostbusters. Having brought back the team, She, along with the others, began to build up the team's reputation for capturing pesky and troublesome ghosts -- all while causing trouble themselves through extensive property damage resulting from their job. Naturally, this tendency to leave the place in a mess would ruffle the feathers of their clients. However, this doesn't bother Ryomou, as she knows that they are the only ones with the capability of capturing said ghosts. Needless to say, Her activites with the team would put her at odds with the government, as well as a certain cult worshipping an ancient Sumerian entity.

When not out in the mission with the team, Ryomou would usually be seen reading her favorite books, though she does take time to play video games and do other non-mission activites with the team.
