Free League Announces The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying For 5E

Last year, Free League introduced a revised edition of their famed Lord of the Rings replaying game, The One Ring, in a crowdfunding campaign that set new records. By the time the campaign concluded, it was the most successful tabletop roleplaying core game ever hosted on Kickstarter. As every single company on this Earth knows except for HBO Max, when there’s demand for a product, you keep making it…hence a new variant of The One Ring has been announced for release next year.
This version has been adapted for 5E rules and will go by a different (and more direct) title, The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying. We’re not sure why it’s necessary to produce the two versions under different titles, but it will come with everything you need, including “six original heroic cultures from the land of Eriador, six new classes, a host of terrifying adversaries, and comprehensive rules for journeys, councils, wondrous artefacts, and the subtle magic of Middle-earth.” The core compendium and a...

What is with every single table top being crowdfunded? I think they are trying to time this with the release of rings of power.
