From the reviews I've seen, the Japanese DX toy is much better than the US one. But it seems to me the Japanese version is much harder to acquire now.
Is the US one worth paying $30 for until such time as I can find/afford Shinkenoh?
Does anyone have Shinkenoh for a decent price?

Oh yea, it looks awesome. but I recommend you wait a little longer since Bandai Asia tends to overproduces there stuff so HK or other asian ebay sellers lower there prices to attracted buyers, the $90 Range is a good buy, but don't wait to long since the prices will go back up again once the stock almost runs out.

With free shipping? Yeah, probably. There's plenty of comparison videos on YouTube. The Samurai Megazord lacks the details you'd expect, they're smaller, no symbol mode. The general aesthetic of the combined mode is there and some people actually like how streamlined it turns out to be (the legs are actually spread a bit so it looks like a semi-normal pose.) Though the helmet does look a bit goofy and big on it and the Samurai Megazord also doesn't come with the shield. The Shinken-Oh comes with all the bells and whistles though, really depends on how much you're looking to spend and HOW BAD you want an large sized Shinken-Oh (because honestly if you wanted a pose able one I'd say just get the Super Robot Chogokin)

I paid for an SRC Shinkenoh earlier today. But I think I still really want the DX one. My main hesitation right now it buying that one on eBay is that in the last two days I've spent nearly $300 on Sentai toys, and I'm not even that big a Sentai fan. Not like I am Kamen Rider anyway.
But what's another $100?

Have you tried going through a middleman to get one from Yahoo Japan? I got my Shinken-Oh from YJ and only paid about $30-$35 for it. It was open, sure, but complete and nothing wrong cosmetically.

No, i haven't. I've looked at Mandarake a few times, but haven't seen anything yet.
I played with a US version late last night, and I don't think I like it. I'll try for the Japanese version.

Send a PM to riderProxy or OkinawamToySeller here on the boards. I'm sure either of them can help you out.
