Sazer X is boring me to the point that I haven't bothered watching the raw this week. If I did then I don't remember because that's how boring I find Sazer X. I'm hoping Sazer X will pick up like JR did but so far it's not a show I really care if I watch or not at this time.

Speaking of, I haven't gotten raws for Hibiki in months, I just stopped bothering to download them because I was so bored out of my mind with its uninteresting and generic villians and terrible fight photography. I will admit Sazer X is a bit different from Justirisers so far. I loved Justirisers from first episode, honestly. Sazer X is much more peculiar from the other 2 Chouseishin series.

I'm continuing to give it a chance just because I was satifised with the outcome of Justirisers. I honestly don't expect Sazer X to fill Justirisers' shoes, because those are just too big to fill, but I'm hoping at least a show that's moderately entertaining to me. The show has a lot of interesting ideas and has potential for a great execution. I'm hoping for an interesting change of pace after they complete this cosmo capsule collection story arc.

All I can say is: I'm happy I don't need TVN to enjoy the shows I like

... I just need more time to watch everything I taped and/or own on DVD

The HK's are getting few, far between, and progressively worse, though. Probably because I heard that Taiwanese police are really busting down on the drug/gun running and illegal porn rings that usually accompany bootlegged Tokusatsu.

He's not talking about HK, he's talking about using his knowledge of the japanese language, and has other sources to grab raws or just watch shows on TV since he's in Japan.

While they may be getting more scarce, with each incarnation the subtitle quality has gotten only exponetially better, as far as I've seen since the Ryuki DVD's.

Ah, well good for him then. I say enjoy it the best way you can.

Right on!

I don't want to get all political but the way I see it, groups like TVN provide a wonderful service for non-japanese toku-fans (regardless whether they're nice in the process or not) ... but if you don't need them, all the better.

I usually watch shows as they air or (most of the time) get raws to catch up on shows I've missed (1.5 months of no TV will do that to you).

When I really like a show, I get it on DVD (Japanese R2) : good quality, nice extra's, etc. Some things I usually get on DVD include the KR movies (even if it's just for the sfx).

And to be quite frank with you guys, when watching toku/anime, I also sometimes need a dictionary to look up the not-so-usual words (nice example from Mazinger Z: 光子力ビーム = Photon (powered) beam  )

It's still bugging me that these guys still keep acting without the others. Seems they can't even decide on who is incharge either. The beetle monster was great, I loved how the pirates made it using a cosmo capsule. Oh, Cyclead and Aqual finally having to restrain Blaird to keep him from rampaging, hilarious

I really liked how those kids were playing with homemade Sazer mecha, that was cool. Also how the other kids were arguing over whether or not "sazer x" was good or bad. Seems people don't trust our heroes.

Next week looks like it's going to be good, with flashbacks of Soujirou and Shark.

Episode 7. Very interesting. Finally we hear the story of how Soujirou meets Captain Shark (of coarse after Shark seems to be taken out, from his last message). So Soujirou isn't from the future after all. And could it be? Shark is Remy's father?

Aside from the flashbacks, not much else seemed to happen, except for Aqual running off with Pigeon 10. Looks like Takuto's sister has a big part in the next episode.

I liked yesterday's ep, the flashback was really good backstory on Commander Shark and Soujirou. I'm wondering if Shark will be the 4th Sazer. Because well, there's 4 elements and only 3 sazers right now. Terebikun December issue says that next issue will have info on a new ally. Maybe that will be the 4th sazer. Shark is like a father to Remy but I don't think he is, too obvious. I imagine they have some special backstory saved for Remy's past.
