May the 4th is Star Wars Day, but it’s also the day a sci-fi flick of a different variety will be released on demand…Glasshouse Distribution’s Cerebrum.
Don’t believe those articles about how much “data” the human brain can theoretically hold — the brain stores information in a manner that’s not really comparable with solid state drives or USB sticks. Assuming the two things WERE the same, though, how long would it take for the ability to “back up” your brain data to become a thing? Apple would have likely made it a mass product in 2009, but since it can’t actually happen, we’ll have to speculate through movies like Cerebrum.
The subject of this one is a man named Tom, who agrees to be the test subject for an experimental “back up your brain” device. It seems to work at first, but then Tom finds out he was involved in a crime and he can’t remember actually committing it. Good thing he has that trusty backup…or was the backup the cause of his forgetfulness? Did it make him commit...
