Street Fighter roster used to be all men. Ryu, Ken, and Sagat managed to become iconic. Birdie and Adon did appear in future games while the rest are forgotten.

The second game in the franchise introduced the world warriors and that sequel is a game changer. The most iconic roster in Street Fighter History because it stand the hands of time. Every kid from the 90s knows Street fighter II and most people who never played the sequels after, still loves it. It is the game that made the fighting game genre. Street Fighter III was not as popular because of the retirement of World Warriors. Street Fighter IV is the resurgence of the game because it brought back the world warriors.
