Camera recommendations?

Dark Kabuto

In Justice, We Trust!
My current camera is an old hand-me down Sony 4.1 Megapixel Cyber-Shot, and while it gets the job done I'd very much like to upgrade to a better one...I don't need anything too fancy, just something that does a good enough job...preferably in the 100-250 dollar price range. Dose HJU have any suggestions?

PS: Here's a pic of the camera I'm using now.

Are you looking for quick point and shoot cameras or something that would let you produce more quality?

More quality, something that'll come out a little less "Shaky"

EDIT:

For example, take this photo:

Yeah, you can really tell that my hands weren't all that steady.

go with any nikon or canon point and shoot cameras, unless you got alot of memory stick pro duo cards then get a sony.

powershots are nice and most go up to 10 MP,

You can't really go wrong with anything that's a Pentax, even their digital cameras tend to be a lot better than most others, certainly better than the Cybershots, which really aren't good for anything other than basic point and shoot pictures to begin with. Though...Pentax do tend to be rather expensive and something I wouldn't recommend if you're not looking into photography as anything more than a fun hobby. So if you're looking for cameras like this, I think the Pentax Optio line of digital cameras would be good for you.

Anywho! The Canon EOS Rebel XT is something you can usually find for around $200, it's a DSLR and probably one of the best low priced cameras out there for producing really high quality pictures. Pretty much anything from the EOS line is going to give you really great pictures if you use it properly.

i've never seen a canon DSLR go that low, the lowest i've seen was $350+ and that's used and only the body.

I can recommend you watch out for cameras that have the flash too close to where your middle finger will be while you hold it. Last camera I bought, it caused a nasty shadow every picture I took.

I see them all the time, you just have to do a bit of searching and chance are they'll be used, but finding them in great condition isn't too hard. I think a used one is better than most new digital cameras that aren't SLR.

hmmm... well i am in the market for another DSLR, as my A200 isn't cutting it for me right now, though i want a D90 but that will be in like a month or two from now...
