Bayonetta

So I got the PS3 version (since I don't have a 360). The main con against it is the fact that the loading screens are beyond annoying....but, the style of the gameplay is a damn lot of fun.

I like to replay the first level again because it's just one big Evangelion reference.

I picked up the 360 version a couple of days ago and I'm very impressed.
I always found Devil May Cry to be a little fraustrating (4 wasn't bad). I was a little hesitant at first. Fortunately, it's been non-stop, over the top fun so far.
Like DMC, they reward you for mixing up your combo strings. I personally found Bayonetta's grading system to be a lot more forgiving.

I dunno how I feel about Bayonetta's grading system. On one hand, it doesn't knock you as much for style as DMC games usually do, but they kinda kill it by making the alfheim portals mandatory for the higher ranked statues (And unlockable character in the end).

And given how anal and by chance some of those could be, you could drain all your time trying to get past those. And I'm saying this as someone who has managed to S rank every mission in DMC4 across the board.

. . . Though I realize that isn't much to brag, more like "call us when you do the same for DMC3 or Ninja Gaiden".

Well, the Alfheim portals do give you Broken Witch's Hearts and Moon Pearls as an incentive for doing them. So far I haven't had too much of a problem with them.

I do agree that the grading system is a bit too heavy handed, though.

Yeah, My issue is having the repeatidly redo them to get a good grade in Bayonetta, since they are those damn missing verse's if you just move forward in the game. I gladly did them the first time, but man, some of those I'd rather not just replay.
