After a full decade, one of the more successful manga and anime properties in recent history is finally wrapping it up. Attack On Titan will premiere the first of its final batch of episodes this coming Sunday, both in Japan and in the US courtesy of Funimation.
In case you’re wondering why the Final Season has taken so long, and why it was released in two parts, it’s because everything had to wait for the manga to finish. The absolutely final volume of Attack On Titan wasn’t released until April of 2021. The anime can’t move faster than that, nor can it produce useless filler to stall for time because new anime shows don’t really do that anymore. But now that they have the complete story, they can move ahead and get this thing finished.
Season 4 has been very different from the previous three. After a time jump, the main threat isn’t naked giants with big mouths anymore…it’s a bloody conflict between two nations, with the heroes from the previous seasons caught in the middle...
