In Japan if you are charged you are almost always going to be found guilty because the assumption is prosecutors won't charge unless they know they can get a guilty verdict in the first place. That unfortunately works both ways.

Doesn't matter, there has to be evidence to make him guilty first. Kind of off topic, but do Japanese courts use jurors or is it just judges (or some third system I'm unaware of)?
