Look for two bird-themed cartoons to make your weekend brighter in this week’s overview of Adult Swim premieres.
Looks like the second season of Birdgirl will be about as long as the first one was, which is….not very long. They only ordered enough episodes to last a month, but there’s one left: “The S.I.M.” According to Adult Swim’s official description of the episode, “The Birdteam discovers a politically-incorrect alternate universe.” Find out what that means Sunday, July 17 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Then there’s Tuca & Bertie, which has really grown to be one of the best things on Adult Swim even it didn’t technically start as an AS original. I mean it — the first two episodes of Season 3 were absolutely hilarious and if you missed them, you need to boot up HBO Max now and watch them (or wait for the repeats, if you’re a traditionalist). These birds need your help so they can stay on the air!
