Halberd Studios, a game development team out of Guadalajara, Mexico, is hard at work on 9 Years Of Shadows, their Metroidvania tribute to Metroid, Castlevania, and everything in between. The Kickstarter campaign for the game was
launched last week, and it smashed through its funding goal today, but it’ll need your help to hit those tantalizing stretch goals.
Europa, a battle maiden with a long gown and a menacing axe, has entered Talos Castle with the intent of removing a curse. Originally built as a protective orphanage, the castle is now under the influence of evil forces, and the children have been imprisoned in paintings. Europa must enter the paintings and battle the monsters within to break the curse and heal the land.
