6 Terminator Movies in total = 2 arcs

I'm told Salvation was the beginning of the War Arc of Terminator and that in total will have 2 more movies.

So Terminator will be 2 different arcs, Arnie/Pre-War and Bale/Present war.

Can anyone confirm this?.

It was the plan before Terminator Salvation bombed and the studio went bankrupt.

They probably shoulda made Salvation the last movie like it shoulda been. Now instead it's the last movie and it resolved nothing.

I actually liked Salvation. It was a far greater movie than Terminator 3.

Its still considered a disappointment, if it hadn't the sequel would have been greenlit immediately and it failed to save the studio. Its not the end of Terminator, the rights were sold and they'll do something with them but the second trilogy will likely never be finished off.
