Interesting mech designs as they loo like Gao King, Magi King, Daizyujin, and DaiBouken. When do you think they will reveal the rest of the ranger team?

That is the ranger team. Toei going Metal Heroes with this one. 1 human host (Zenkaizer/white ranger) who is the leader and the 4 robots make up the rest of the team. The homages are pretty upfront. Goranger, JAKQ, Gaoranger, Magiranger, Zyuranger and Boukenger staring at us, for the entire season.

Oh f**k yeah this looks based as hell!

>money makers like Zyuranger and Gaoranger
>based mecha like DaiBouken
>based sentai lke Magiranger
>Zenkaiser based on based 70s sentai

Sixth ranger will have to reference an 80s sentai (lets hope Goggle Caesar!) and maybe a seventh for based Go-Busters. Kyuranger wouldn't fit because of the alternate timeline, but it's best to leave the best tokusatsu ever made by itself for a short while. After all, it along with Ultraman Geed and Kamen Rider Z-iO are still stomping on Build's abominable skull to save the genre.

Not sure I'm thrilled with that, but it certainly can't be any worse than Saber, so I guess there's that. Though, in the long run it is the writing that matters, not the concept, so here's hoping they have a competent writer.

I'm not sure why they chose Daizyujin or Magi King though. I get DaiBouken and Gao King since they were anniversary seasons.

I'm guessing because those robots were very popular. Even as far back as 2011 with Gokaiger's toyline, I remembered they made new figures of Daizyujin, Magi-King and Gao King. So it clearly appeals to the audience in Japan.

Wow, these robot suits manage a rare accomplishment of looking both overdesigned and cheap-ass simple. PatKaiser would feel right at home among them.

Daizyujin is probably because it's the first Sentai of "the new era" and with all the attention Magiranger has been getting recently MagiKing isn't that surprising either.

Why is every good TV show Cancelled
Yeah, I don't think anyone would've guessed they would do this. I guess we'll have to see how this turns out, or if/ how they'll use the Zenkaigers in PR.

Given how much Toei hate leaks I imagine there's been a lot of shouting happening in their offices today.

I can't help noticing there's no obviously Japanese themed robot, which seems like an oversight given how the first Sentai mecha, Battle Fever Robo, was basically a big samurai, and how ninjas have inspired multiple seasons.

Having said that, the white ranger's suit also contains the colours red, pink, yellow, blue, and green. So perhaps we'll get a green Samurai robot at some point further down the line?

And all of my excitement for Zenkaiger just died. It's being written by the same lackluster lady that brought us such cardboard cut out villains in Zyuohger and LupvsPat.

I'm okay with that, Ryusoulger was proof making the villains good doesn't save the whole series.

It was Utsunomiya trait in general. See also Shinkenger and Gokaiger. The only time he really tried with the villains was Toqger and it still felt there could had been more done with them.

Who's Utsunomiya?

Shinkenger still had Dayuu and Juuzo while Gokaiger had Basco and Barizorg. Zyuohger and LvsP had nobody.

Scans of concept art have circulated on Twitter and have yet to be verified. If they are verified to be real.... This series is going to be like Kamen Rider Decade and go multiverse hopping.... Not sure how they're going to explain that, Kyuranger and Akibaranger were the only sentai set apart from the main timeline. So do rangers and Metal Heroes now have dimension hopping properties or is this like with Zi-O were universes just sort of combined with each other randomly and alter time and reality?

Producer of all these shows.

Dayuu was fleshed out about as much as Quval and Basco isn't really much different from Zamigo taken on his own.
Basco had a better presence. However, Basco wasn't solely responsible for why the Gokaigers became Gokaigers whereas Zamigo was the only reason the Lupinrangers existed.

Though, Basco and Dayuu are going to pale in comparison to Leo and Mele, but they're much better than what we got after Enter.

So once again another Tokusatsu Anniversary series needs to involve parallel universe crossovers. I don't know what they can do with Zenkaiger that would be any different than say Kamen Rider Zi-O or Decade. We're either getting one or the other when it comes to time travelling/parallel universe jumping. Gokaiger already confirmed all 35 years had a linear timeline, which I recalled some fans debating that. Kyuranger is the only Sentai along with Akibaranger (if you count it as canon) being the only two Sentais that are clearly indicated that it takes place outside the main linear Sentai timeline. Why ruin all that for the sake of this recycled Toku plot device?

Except there's more than that. Hurricanger is in its own timeline because Shurikinger dies at the end and then is replaced 10 years later. As such, it can't be in the same universe as Gokaiger and Ninninger since Shurikinger is alive in those.

Also, Kakuranger can't exist because all of the Youkai were defeated there but there's nothing about them sealing them away in Nin.

Ohranger can't work because it's set in 1999 and the entire world but Japan was conquered. GoGoFive also takes place in 99.

Just in case there's anyone who hasn't seen these images everywhere over the last couple of days.

Zenkaiser's real name is Kaito Goshikida. His parents were scientists who disappeared shortly after discovering the existence of parallel worlds, so he now lives with his grandmother who runs a sweet shop / cafe. The only reminder he has of his parents is a mechanical bird called Secchan (which appears to have a lot of detail based on Variblune from Goranger, to the point where people have speculated whether it will transform).

The mechs are called Kikainoids. They come from another dimension called Kaikaitopia, which has been taken over by the Evil Dynasty Tojitendo. The Tojitendo have adapted technology developed by Kaito's parents to create the 'Tojiru Gears' which they use to "lock away" a parallel world. This then allows them to create a monster based upon that world.

Kaito's parents also created the Geartlinger, a gun that utilities the "Sentai Gears". Kaito uses this to transform and to make his Kikainoid friends grow large, and can also use it to summon the powers of previous Sentai.

The four Kikainoids are:
Zyuran - the "old man" of the team, based upon DaiZyuJin from Zyuranger.
Gaon - the quiet, standoffish member, based upon GaoKing from Gaoranger.
Vroom - the serious yet curious member, based upon DaiBiouken from Boukenger
Magine - the shy magic/occult nerd, based upon MagiKing from Magiranger.

So it looks like the four Kikainoids will have a slimmer powered down mode that will be used during the "untransformed" scenes, and then when Zenkaiser transforms they will turn into their bulkier forms. They can then grow and change into an alt mode or combine.

These slimmed down forms take cues from the costumes of the series that inspired them. So Zyuran seems to wear shorts similar to the pants worn by Tyrannoranger, Vroom seems to have a colour scheme inspired by Bouken Blue's jacket, and so on.

The bulkier forms seem to be called Zenkai, which is added to their names. So they become known as Zenkai Zyuran, etc. It also seems that in this mode they have a number on their foreheads corresponding to the number of the season that inspired them.

Each forms half of a combined robot - yellow and pink are right sides while red and blue are left sides. It seems likely they will be sold as a yellow/red pair called 'ZenkaiOh ZyuraGaon' and a pink/blue pair called 'ZenkaiOh VrooMagin', but you can of course switch them around if you buy both and create 'ZenkaiOh ZyuraMagin' and 'ZenkaiOh VrooGaon'.

The official toy reveal will apparently happen on December 26th but cast reveals won't happen until January.
The series will get an episode 0 as part of the "Super Sentai Movie Ranger" triple bill and then episode one will broadcast on March 7th 2021.

Revival magic is a thing in sentai.
Also, Kakuranger can't exist because all of the Youkai were defeated there but there's nothing about them sealing them away in Nin.
You've been told this before, the yokai in Kakuranger and Ninninger are born from completely different energies, one is more like a series of cryptoids while the other is born from magic shurikens interacting with objects.
Ohranger can't work because it's set in 1999 and the entire world but Japan was conquered. GoGoFive also takes place in 99.
Japan takes up a lot of square miles, there is nothing in GoGo-V that contradicts the events of Ohranger. On top of that GoGo-V also has one of the companies that appeared in Megaranger and one of its one off characters reappeared in Timeranger.
The series will get an episode 0 as part of the "Super Sentai Movie Ranger" triple bill and then episode one will broadcast on March 7th 2021.
And now Type Moon is influencing Sentai. Why not have it as episode 1?
